What conclusions could you make after using AI in class for a term?

Is it nothing more than an AI intern, is it too early to assess the impact on students or do teachers and students need more training to get the full benefits of AI?

Definitely too early to assess the impact of AI on teachers and students. It will be interesting to see how that changed at the end of 2024.
