How AI do you go?
I don’t think it is now a question of zero or full AI in classes but more an issue of how much AI and how I integrated it is in individual lessons. From my own practice, it is also clear that teachers must provide some AI training. This can be as simple as choosing ChatGPT, asking students to download the app and teaching them to make simple prompts via text or by using the speaking option. This could be lesson 1. The next lesson might focus on perfecting output by asking for adaptions. Another might add creating interactions and roles.
With the above in mind and considering the length of the course and any exams, I would say an average teacher could go from almost 0 to a quite integrated course within a term.
